And If You Believe That, I Have a Shoe Store in Okinawa I'll Sell You.

Let's see...I've been on this tropical Island almost four days.  I think I have worn shoes three times.  Each time was because I was headed out to eat at a restaurant.  I would bet I could have gone without shoes until tomorrow except for the restaurant we went to for lunch today.  I wonder how the Okinawan shoe stores stay in business.  Now I understand the song by Kenny Chesney, No shoes, no shirt...well you know the lyrics probably better than I do.
Today we had lunch at Daikon no Hana.  The pictures posted are from this particular restaurant.  Daikon no Hana is a restaurant that serves organic locally grown produce.  Probably the premier organic co-op restaurant on Okinawa.  Everything that is served is local grown, local caught, and it is served up buffet style.
Local purple sweet potatoes, papayas, daikon, fresh caught fish, home made ice cream, even desserts.
A fantastic lunch that didn't leave you feeling stuffed, although I did eat my share.  A meal worth talking about and surely I will return.  The meal ended with a bowl of homemade green tea ice cream, and a cup of cappuccino.
Thank you Okinawa.  You are making me feel at home, despite having to wear shoes today.
